I am in love with this perfume. I sprayed a tester years ago and the scent lasted 2 days!! I wanted to buy it then but it was close to $100. I did get it later but it didn't smell the same.

I love my Tom Ford black orchid. I doesn't last long
It has a great smell, but the problem is that it does not last long, at all. One of my friends bought this perfume and for him it lasts a pretty long time. Therefore, I think the problem is only with my own product. Once I suspected that I have bought an EDT, but no; it is actually an EDP that I have bought and such a short=lasting is not acceptable. Probably the product that I have bought was in stock for a long time and therefore lost its effectiveness. I am not sure though.

It does last a long time
I did not like the scent.. that doesn't mean that is a bad perfume... But for sure it last a long time on your skin ... I still use it despite that fact that I don't like the smell.. I would recommend it because it last a long time..

It's very sweet when you apply it to your skin, almost overpowering. The dry down is beautiful. However it is too expensive it's not worth the price. I really wanted to return this item... I was required to pay 40$ for return shipping, plus fragrancex would deduct a portion of my refund. I would end up losing. Don't blind buy, do listen to the hype.

Lighter Version of the classic Old Spice
I've been waiting forever to purchase this perfume, but instead, I received it as a gift. I'm so glad I didn't buy it. It reminds me of a lighter Version of Old Spice Cologne that my Grandfather wore. I loved the smell of my Grandfather but I don't want to smell like him. Otherwise, I love purchasing fragrances from FragranceX due to an affordable price compared to Department Stores, selection, and variety!

This isn't for everyone but I thoroughly enjoyed this scent on me. It's strong but not overwhelming and settles in the skin very well. So much so that even after a shower I could still smell it. I would definitely recommend this.

Big sexy
The opening of Black Orchid Parfum is gorgeous, even more absolutely resplendant than the original, with a lot of the controversial floral elements manly-men like to bash on dialed back in favor of an enhanced truffle note like Tom Ford Noir de Noir (2007) from the Private Blend line, mixed with the sweetness of a boozy plum. Anyone who has smelled the original Michael for Men by Michael Kors (2001), a scent made under Ford's watch by LVMH for Kors before the latter spun off into having Interparfums handle their fragrances, knows this boozy plum. Yeah, it's not real booze or real plum, and registers more ambery than anything, but it mixes with synthetic ylang-ylang (because IFRA) and the entire composition of the original Black Orchid in a trick reminiscent of Guerlain's "Guerlinade", eventually moving into a base that feels more oriental than the eau de parfum. Patchouli, some tonka sweetness, amber, vanilla, and some nondescript creamy woodiness mix with what remains of the original Black Orchid's somewhat neon dry down, absent a lot of the trailing aldehydes that give the classic version it's big-hipped vavoom. Is this more masculine? Yes. Is it masculine enough to make the grade for guys that still call everything "cologne" and need "for men" on the bottle somewhere to feel secure in themselves? No. Wear time will be very long legged as this is a parfum, but after the first 35 minutes, this scent implodes on skin. Use romantically, or even layer with the OG if you want more top notes, but make no mistake, this is no easier of a wear and not to be taken to the office or in crowded places unless you're comfortable with conjuring the ghost of Zsa Zsa Gábor wherever you go.

Even though this is listed for women, my adult son tried a sample a few years back and had so many compliments he purchased a bottle. He ran out quite awhile ago as he has others for day use and a few others as gifts for evenings. I decided to get this as a Christmas Gift for those Special Occasions. I know he still loves it but because of the price every where else and he has enough for everyday this wasn't a big priority for him. This was a scent he and others couldn't stop talking about when it came out.

Black Orchid is INTOXICATING! When I wear this scent my husband can't stop sniffing my neck. Makes him want to be closer to me every time. It's a heavy scent so I do not recommend over spraying.

Wow. This is not a scent you spray when you do not know what to wear. This is a fragrance that speaks for itself. The person who wears this has a lot of confidence even if its a quiet self confidence. This is orchid from the other side of the tracks. Its dress is torn and it slept in the mud. You can smell dark unsweetened chocolate and slightly bitter, earthy truffle mushrooms. Orchid is supported with ylang ylang - a flower that is an aphrodisiac and a little jasmine and the smallest amount of patchouli you can get away with as not to destroy the batch. Gorgeous. Presentation/bottle 4/5, sprayer 5/5 fragrance 5/5 sillage 2.5/5 longevity 4/5. Unisex, cooler weather. Not for job interviews. Very original. Value 5/5, its not cheap, but its so worth it.
