Crown Perfumery was a respected and innovative fragrance house established in 1872. Named after Queen Victoria’s royal crown, the company was created after corset maker William Sparks Thomson’s clients needed smelling salts to help combat fainting. This British company was highly successful throughout the late 1800s leading up to the first World War. The company was closed in 1939.
After a brief revival in 1993, once again the company failed to thrive in modern times. Six years later, furniture maker and an Order of the British Empire medal recipient Clive Christian bought the company and restored many of the original fragrances. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Pretty and Classic
This is a lovely classic feminine scent based around a high quality jasmine-rose accord (my favorite) with a low-key fruity complement and a light floral-wood drydown. I like this one better than Clive Christian #1, which I think is their more popular scent. But #1 Is a big aldehyde powder bomb, kind of loud. X is much more refined and subtle. You can wear it pretty much anywhere without offending somebody. It even wears well outside, where some perfumes become obnoxious. Some people say the fragrance disappears too quickly, but it's actually a case of the wearer getting anosmic to it and not smelling it anymore. I can smell it wafting in and out most of a day. But it's sort of a quiet fragrance, so it may not work for someone wanting a bold scent. It's a really pretty fragrance made from high quality materials.

X is a classic
This is a scent you should only wear for special occasions. It is a classic CC feminine scent. The bottle itself is beautiful. It is a fruity, sweet and sort of woodsy scent that is just dreamy.
