D Cologne by Alfred Dunhill, With a spicy, fresh opening consisting of lemon, pepper, and spearmint, D by Alfred Dunhill, is both warm and refreshing and is as good for everyday wear to the office as it is for a weekend adventure. The middle layer of lavender, geranium, and lily of the valley is decidedly floral, yet manages to stay light and springy. Woody notes of sandalwood and cedar mix with vanilla in the base layer which helps tame the spice from the top layer and tones down the floral notes of the middle layer.

Originally started as an auto accessories business in 1893, Alfred Dunhill, has long been known for men’s luxury items, including pipes and lighters. In more recent years, the brand has focused on high end men’s fashion, leather goods, and fragrances. Released in 1996 and developed by Gerard Anthony, D is a fragrance with longevity that will last into the evening and has a moderate to heavy sillage. Overload of Freshness

Peculiarly, D by Alfred Dunhill reminds me of good things during times of distress. It reminds me of safety. Of serenity. Of comfort. Of courage even. While being generic is expected out of a fresh fragrance, D is an exception. There seems to be an inimitable curtain of notes in the composition, enwrapping the lavender to make it more suitable to a diverse crowd. I bought this as a blind buy. With no regrets. It may not be signature-worthy, but it's great for days you need something refreshing.

my favorite!!!!
