Hermes is a French company that specializes in luxury goods and accessories. This house was founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermes. While it originally manufactured equestrian accessories, it now also distributes leather handbags, scarves, fashion items, accessories, and fragrances. The company first got into the fragrance world in 1951. Its first scent released was Eau d’Hermes, created by Edmond Roudnitska. In 2004, after the success of several fragrance releases, the company took on Jean-Claude Ellena as the exclusive perfumer for the brand. Fragrances continue to be created and released by this house. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

I love this product. It's unique and classy.
Warm, spicy, salty but clean and woody, For me, it's very well blended. I really like the opening. Projection is discreet, longevity in my skin is just about 3 hours max then have to respray.

Beautiful orange blossom water
on my skin this starts with a burst of orange which quickly transforms into orange blossom very light white floral. On my skin there is something watery, but not quite aquatic. Like smelling a freshly opened orange la croix rather than the sea. The dry down on my skin is floral but still sparkling. Like white flowers and champagne. I really love this scent but I feel like its 'special' scent. Its expensive, but not niche expensive but still expensive. I wear this on the weekend, a Friday afternoon lunch with friends, a walk in the park followed by dinner with my husband and kids. I wouldn't wear it to work because my coworkers aren't that special, lol. However it is a very inoffensive perfume so I suppose you could. Eau de Merveilles lasts medium on my skin. It seems to have better longevity in the summer, though i agree with the other user that in high summer it can be kind of smothering, despite its 'watery'-ness, I think because of the florals. Overall I reccomend if you love orange blossom. I haven't found a scent quite like it, so it could work as a signature scent, but tbh I don't find it particularly memorable enough to be my sig. scent. I love it though! Memorable 5/10 Longevity 6/10 Scent 10/10

I blind bought this perfume based on the description- which is generally inadvisable - but in this case I am so glad I did! This one quickly found it's way to my top 5. It is warm and sweet and cozy, with the citrussy top notes keeping it balanced and mature. This fragrance is stellar

No smell at all
Unfortunately, I did not smell the fragrance at all. It's first time I purchased a tester. I based my decision on the good reviews but since I got the fragrance I did not smell anything. I thought I'll give it some time as some people say fragrances can take time to mature. But still nothing after 2 months. Regret the decision, costly risk.

Absolutely love this perfume. I blind bought it after seeing a YouTube review on it and I have to say, it's amazing! When I sprayed it my boyfriend immediately asked what i sprayed because he was in love with the scent. That speaks volumes because he almost never comments on my scents

My bottle of this fragrance was given to me by a rather profligate friend who had blind-bought it under the misapprehension that the "amber" of Eau des Merveilles was that sweet, warm, almost edible-smelling accord made from labdanum and vanilla and benzoin and other sticky resinous things. This is not that kind of amber. The 'amber' here is an attempt to replicate the smell of "grey amber," ambergris, which is salty and animalic and excreted by sp*rm whales. It's a rather important distinction, so let my friend's error serve as a cautionary tale: if you're looking for a sweet vanillic 'amber,' this isn't what you want. There's nothing very sweet in here at all. Even the orange is bitter and pithy and dry, dry, dry. Bone dry. Dryness, in fact, is pretty much what this fragrance is all about. I've seen beach imagery used to describe this scent, and I find that apt enough so long as one understands that the aspects of "beach" being invoked here are mainly the salty, parched, and even somewhat uncomfortable aspects: the hot hot sand, the sharp-edged dune grasses, salt-encrusted skin feeling increasingly taut and stretched as it begins to sunburn. An orange peel left out in the merciless sun long enough for it to dry to the texture of a tough curl of pebble-grained leather. The bleached white, twisted forms that when seen from a distance could be either driftwood or bones. But there's life here, too, beside this strange sea. I've never smelled real ambergris, but many who have claim that the ambergris note in this fragrance is remarkably realistic. And I believe it, because there is a strange undercurrent here that feels positively primeval, just as one would expect of ancient, sea-aged whale excreta. It is a warm and animalic smell, one that is immensely welcoming, yet which also suggests saliva-licked skin, or the milky spit-up of a still-unweaned infant. It's a weirdly intimate smell, simultaneously oceanic and mammalian, and whether it registers as appealing or as disgusting to me seems to depend entirely on my mood. The overall effect, however, is to add the sea to this otherwise dry beach -- and yet also to suggest it as a somewhat strange and alien sea, perhaps an ancient one, perhaps even one of those shallow warm primeval seas that predate our existence as a species altogether. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this fragrance. While I find it both fascinating and immensely sophisticated, I also--as already mentioned--sometimes find its animalic ambergris note more icky than inviting. Then there are also some days when I find this stuff to be an instant migraine, and others when it clogs my sinuses. Don't wear this one around people with allergies or people who are in any way environmentally sensitive! There's something extremely allergenic about it -- it's not the oakmoss, I don't think, but one or more other things that combine with the throat-tickling oakmoss to form a kind of perfect storm of immune response triggering. Many people seem to like this as a summer fragrance, but for me, high heat and humidity make it far more likely that I'll find myself not enjoying its more animalic facets. I prefer this fragrance for the transitional periods bracketing high summer: late spring to early summer, and late summer to early fall.

I wear this perfume every day, whether it's to work or running around town, and even for going out. It's a very versatile scent, and I always get compliments on it. My boyfriend says it smells amazing, too, and made me write this review :). It isn't floral or powdery, it just smells clean but a little woody & I'm told it is sensual. The only drawback is it is on the pricey side, & can be hard to find in retail stores, so online shopping for it is the way to go.

I opened a magazine that had this perfume in one of those fold out pages. Expected to hate it. The minute I opened the fold out my husband said, "what scent is that? It's so feminine and sexy". I bought it that day at a department store. And from that day to this, everywhere I go I get compliments from men on how good I smell. Men really like this perfume. My husband's friends tell him how good I smell. It's impossible to find in stores now, you can only get the "new improved" fragrance, which is also nice. But the original is absolutely the best. And this is the only place I know to get it now!!
