He was born into the fragrance industry, as his grandfather, Serge Heftler, founded Christian Dior Perfumes, and his mother worked as an art director for that perfume house as well. He began his own journey into the perfume industry in 1986 when he accepted a position at a perfume lab. The fragrances in this brand are unique because they were created by top perfumers with complete freedom, and credit is given directly to those perfumers as well. While you might expect
something heavy on musk
or rose notes with
the name like that,
French Lover is more
of a woody aromatic,
and I really, really like it.
This scent opens with
the light top of call
of galvanometer and spices.
Leading into heart of
Angelica, cedar, and incense.
Before ending off in
the base of vetiver,
oak moss, and white musk.
I recommend the scent for
spring, summer, or fall wear.
Especially for guys who
prefer luxury scents.
