Great smelling Floral powdery smell. Not overpowering in the least but creates a very strong base as a personal skin scent. Awesome for a sweatshirt kinda event that will leave your clothes smelling very fresh and clean. For my 420 smokers try rolling a floral strain like Pink Kush while wearing Gentleman only and that floral arrangement will hit the nose big time also great for smokers as a few sprays into your clothes will be good enough to shield you from that funky smoke smell. Its possible to respray/ refresh gentleman only every few hours and it will still not over empower at all, youll just barely smell a bit better . it really a DL Floral scent that projects very lightly, just enough. I def would be interested in trying this as a EDP if ever Givenchy makes it

I love this Fragrance
I can't say how much I like this fragrance from top to bottom. It's not overpowering and isn't super loud. Where sauvage is a heavy hook this is like a stiff jab. It's a fragrance where someone picks up on it and they're like is that you who smells good? Best in cooler weather but I'll wear it all year round. Really a nice office cologne but really could be worn at a wedding or for a night out. If you like the more musky, woody, incense like cologne with a hint of herbs and spice this one is for you.

Not what I wanted
When I started running low my Gentleman Only cologne, I began shopping the internet for more. I admit I had the cologne for a long time, but I was surprised when I all I could find was the Eau De Toilette. Not nearly up to the scent and lasting power of the cologne. And many ads say they have the cologne, but it's always just the EDT. I guess they discontinued the real cologne for some reason. Sad.

One of the best I own
I have many different colognes, and this one is by far my favorite. Like it more than many other colognes I have that are more expensive. Lasts great, get lots of compliments from it. It's my signature scent.

This belongs with dior sauvage, bleu de chanel and ysl y as the 4 horsemen of blue french fragrances. Thid is clean and fresh but just the right amount of projection without being loud. Its a great office scent and it will definitely draw compliments or atleast not offend anyone. Amazing why this is so under the radar. This is a hidden gem!

I alternate different colognes, at the moment I tend to use this on special occasions. It has in my opinion, a lovely fragrance, subtle not overpowering, not to sweet or fruity, just right! A Goldilocks cologne......

Sexy Perfect
I had receieved a sample of this via a makeup site I order from. My husband tried it and absolutely loved it. He is an extremely picky disabled veteran who's style runs more toward rockabilly and athletic gym rat but cleans up really nice. This scent is beyond words, it's just so good and about 1/3 of the price here than at my typical purchasing sites. Why pay triple for the same exact item?? I've even seen reviews where women bought this for themselves to wear. I'm personally addicted to Juicy myself but can see the draw. I can't imagine anyone not liking this.

Definitely a 'winter' scent
I'd classify this as a "winter" scent as opposed to something for spring or summer months. The aroma is definitely 'Givenchy'... well-defined and a little goes a long way. To me this is something a person might wear in the evening rather than a daytime scent, but that's just my preference.

Gentlemen Only carries hints of the traditional Givenchy line but with decidedly modern twists. On top of the nutmeg and pepper top notes, I also get a decidedly chypre/vetiver or even berry frag that I smell throughout the course of the day. Perhaps the smell of wild blackberries. This should work against it but as with most Givenchy frags, they have actually created something of lasting beauty that treads a solid line between, say, an Italian sporty Alpine fragrance and the more established Pour Homme line.

Something Nice in the Wind
Have you ever smelled an aromatic flower or tree after the rain? The scent seems to come out of nowhere and Hold you hostage for a moment. "Gentleman" is like that to me. I smelled it in a magazine advertisement and it spoke to me. In my mind, this is a great evening scent to me. It has a light Citrus character, but is kindof refined, so I will probable just use as an evening, going out scent. It's a man's scent, my wife loves it on me.
