The sample I bought was a deep, pomace oil yellow and evidently less than a third of the vial full. The first spritz, though not completely vile, brought me back to an old jar of lotion I once found that may have expired in the late 1980s. Resisting the temptation to discard, time revealed a clean sweet smell that I just could not get enough of. That being said, if a fresh (and full) bottle of this fragrance should arrive that immediately delivered the same notes discovered over time, 5 stars would be gauranteed.

What can I say about this fragrance. Well what it was to me and smelled like was if you took wipes and raised the smell that is what this cologne smells like. Not my cup of tea. I mean it was inexpensive but its a no go for me. Would defenetly not go back again for this one.

Paul Smith fragrances look and smell great. I've been a fan of Extreme for some time now - I love the vaguely peppery smell (it smells better than that sounds, honest!), and Fragrance-X sell it at a great price with fast delivery. Green wood
A more formal scent largely reminiscent of freshly cut timbers. It wears heavily in the beginning and fades relatively quickly. It could be someone's signature scent, or be worn on special, yet brief, occasions. I would recommend it if there weren't so many other scents to choose from.

Interesting Smell
Although I won't be ordering this fragrance again, I can see it's appeal. I've heard it described as a scent for a mature man and I can't say I disagree. The rosemary is very prevalent. Likely because of it's reaction to my skin's chemistry, when I first used this scent it came off oddly and unlike what it later smelt like. The second time around I got the true scent. Not my style, too mature. However, if you're in the market for something more refined, try it out.

I've sprayed it on my wrist to trial it, I haven't worn it out so it could just be my sense of smell and maybe girls like it, I can barely smell the scent when applied, normally the first few times my nose can pick up on the scent before getting used to it, this one I have to really press my nose up against my skin, the scent is awful I'm going to assume its meant to be some sort of masculine one though I don't feel that its woody/musky, I really can't describe the smell too well. I'm glad I just got a tester first though.

One of the pleasures of life
I smelled this on a female friend of mine and was immediately entranced. She refused to tell me the exact perfume because that's a woman's "secret," but she told me the designer. I ordered all Paul Smith's colognes (I was in a hurry) and there it was -- Extreme. It is one of the joys of life to wear this cologne. Like a fine meal or a delicious drink. Or a lingering kiss in the rain. Yeah, it's that good. And truthfully -- if there were no men's version, I'd wear the perfume. Absolutely. It's a subtle scent that draws you in (not sweet or overpowering or syrupy) and there's probably not much difference between the cologne and perfume anyway. Paul Smith's others, in case you're curious, weren't nearly as good in my opinion. Anyway, it's delicious. Give it a try. Then post back here and say if you agree.

Not a bad one obviously had I not compare it to Paul Smith EDT. I thought I would love this one better before buying but I actually prefer that one after having both. Bit of too sweet top note and I don't get the 'extreme spicy' described by many reviewers :S
