What happened?
Memories of this fragrance are that it was a rich, deep, long lasting oriental/floral. I believe it's been reformulated since the 90's. The colour is much lighter then the amber colour it used to be - also, the scent smells artificial/chemical not at all like the original.

Not like the originak
I used to buy this safari for women and loved and was sad they discontinued it. So I was happy to fi d it here. Unfortunately it's nothing like the original.. S.ells more like alcohol. Spent over $100 for a bottle of alcohol. So sad.

I bought this perfume set back in 1999/2000
I only have praise for this scent. You can never go wrong. Safari gives you confidence to be whom ever you wish to be. A little cheeky, Definitely confident. But also a little sad, because wearing Safari helps you over the blues. WOULD I RECOMMEND SAFARI TO EITHER GENDER YES ABSOLUTELY AS WITH JUST A LITTLE LEFT I SHARED SAFARI WITH TWO WOMEN AND YES THEY ENJOYED IT MORE THAN I KNOWING JUST HOW SPECIAL IT WAS FOR ME TO SHARE…… INDISPUTABLY PRICELESS WORTH EVERY DIME YOU SPEND ON PURCHASING THIS TREASURE ONLY MISS DIOR COMES CLOSE TO THIS RARE AND DELIGHTFUL AND SENSUAL ESSENCE YES THE ESSENCE OF LOVE

Relieved to have finally found this perfume again!!!!

Cannot believe I can still get this favorite!
This product is no longer available from manufacturer so I am thrilled to get it from FragranceX..I keep saying that this is the last time I will order but keep being drawn back to this unique scent. I use it mostly in the evening after a relaxing bath or shower and the beautiful scent helps me get to sleeep

Not so happy
This isn't the real Safari that I used to buy and wear all the time! This Safari lasted 15 minutes and was gone😢 I'm very disappointed with this purchase as I have about four favorite scents I wear year around and Safari is one of them but not this bottle this was a waste of my hard earned money!

I bought this fragrance and ended up throwing it out. It was so dark, it looked as if it had been in a dark closet for years. It smelled so rank that I didn't want to subject my mailman to it again. A total waste of money. So sad as I love this fragrance when it is new.

Obviously suits me...have used only Safari for over 15years and has become hard to get...that being said a search of the internet generally finds it at Fragrance X. the fragrance always draws comments summer and winter, at the being of the day as well as at the end. I hope it never disappears from the shelves.
