About the Product
Sand and Sable is a classic floral fragrance, first released in 1981 by perfume house Coty. The scent blends feminine, floral accords such as jasmine, peach, gardenia and other green notes. Coty was founded in 1904 by Francois Coty in Paris, France. After studying perfumery with a pharmacist, he launched his first perfume, to immediate success. The perfumer also began marketing perfume, which had been primarily available to the wealthy, to middle and working class women, launching mass market products. When the brand was sold to Pfizer in 1963, its products were sold primarily in drugstores and mass retailers. After its acquisition by Joh. A. I have been stopped by men in an airport asking what perfume I had on so they could buy it for their wife. I wish you carried the bath oil and the body lotion. I would love the whole product line.

Jasmine and gardenia bomb
Way too heavy on the white florals for my preferences - all I smell is jasmine and gardenia. I passed it on to my mother since she wore this when it was new and she didn't think it was too floral or too strong at all.

A favorite scent from long ago.
I had worn this fragrance as a young woman in my early 20's. I'm not sure what brought it to my memory recently, and I wasn't sure it was even available anymore, but gladly I found it for a reasonable price here. It is just as lovely as I remembered... A light, warm floral, earthy scent.

I have been using Sand and Sable for 39 years now, since its appearance in the fragrance scene in 1981. I wish you would put it back in the stores. It is my Signature perfume and everyone loves it! It never fails that I receive compliments of "ooh, you smell wonderful!". Even from strangers! Don't know what I'm going to do if ever I can't get it, there ISN'T anything else like it. I love the Sandalwood, Jasmine, Tuberose, and Gardenia in it!

I love this perfume and I would buy it all the time.
Ever since I was introduced to this perfume I've been in love with it. The smell of flower reminds me of my mother cause this was her favorite flower.
