The woody scent features notes of immortelle, moss, frankincense, Namibian myrrh, benzoin, jasmine, pepper, leather, cinnamon, bergamot and rose. Evoking the faun pursuing nymphs of old unsure if he’s in a dream or reality, the scent combines seductive reality with suggestive fantasy for a sensuous scent. Etat Libre d’Orange is a Parisian perfumery started by Etienne de Swardt in 2006. Bored of the uninteresting scents designed for the masses, Etienne wanted to start a revolution in the perfume industry. His fragrances embody this liberated idea creating scents that evoke passion, scandal, excess and perfection. The South African native takes his symbol from the liberation of the country from the Dutch, the Orange Free State. Disappointing!

I was excited to get this fragrance based on all the hype, and have to say it is my first, & LAST purchase from the house of Etat Libre d'Orange. The opening is like a blast of straight up 'barber shop' euculyptus, which I assume is the Immortelle note, with no floral (rose) at all. The complete dry down is a bit more woodsy, though over all it's a very masculine leaning scent with no complexity. It does smell cheap and is definitely not worth the inflated expense. Nijinsky would be embarrassed! 😳🤷

No, I would not recommend to a friend.

Wow

This beautiful fragrance is hard to describe. The opening has a fresh celery rose smell, then leans a lively herbal green vibe. It's super cozy and comforting. This is a 3 spray max kind of fragrance. Sometimes I even just walk through the mist to get a whole other character out of this one. I have wanted this fragrance for a loooooong time and could never find it under $100. FragranceX is where it's at! 🤩 *Only con is it could be too strong of you like ultra light stuff.
