After his small chain, The People's Place, closed in the 1970s, he moved to New York City where he began designing full time. In 1984, he founded his brand and launched his first menswear line. The brand has since expanded and become popular with a large audience. Under the parent company of Estee Lauder, the brand released its first fragrance in 1995. Tommy Girl never disappoints! This is my go to fragrance. Smell is long lasting; has a floral scent; and not to over bearing. This brand will always be at the forefront of many varieties of fragrances.
