I personally didn't like it but my mother did. I thought it was a little too strong for me. I also like sweet warm, spicy perfumes, this one is not like that.

I have worn this scent for years. My favorite!
It's a little expensive but worth it as it does not have to be re- applied throughout the day. Just wish I didn't have to wait on back orders.

My all time love
Super upset that this perfume isn't sold in my country. This perfume takes a special place in my heart and on my perfume cabinet with the rest of my fragrance collection. I have a full vintage bottle and this new version, honestly smells the same to me. But you know what, don't buy it.. coz I'll always have the supply all to myself heheeee… so for my own selfish reason, I will never recommend this to anyone heheeee…

Love this Perfume! Reminds me of such good times I've had
Used on evenings out...and special occasions. I used it many years ago it was called Champagne originally . Each time I wore it I was asked 'what are you wearing ' in a complimentary way.

30yrs ago I met and fell in love with Champagne. Yvresse
I fell in love with 'Champagne" 30 year ago.. I stayed with it and continued with Yvresse.. The original is still the best of the 2. But if its all I get, I'll have it all. Nothing compares.

I can use this anytime. Scent is long lasting but not over powering. Been a favorite since it first came out when it was called "Champagne". Everytime I wear it i always get compliments.

Reason YSL stopped producing it?
YSL did not want to stop producing the original "Champagne"--but France decided that THEY were the only ones who could use the word "Champagne" on anything-so YSL had to take the perfume off the market--took years but they finally came out with a new "Champagne" called Yvresse--not quite the same but close---does anyone want to sell a bottle of the original one? In the meantime, I buy the new "Champagne"--and on occasion, take one spritz of the original (I still have about 1/5 of a bottle left). Would give anything to get the original one back. Are you listening YSL???

My all time favourite
I have been using this perfume for many years even when it was called champagne. I get lots of compliments and have been asked the brand many times. This is the only perfume I am not overpowered by. Hope it's in stock again soon.

Only perfume I use!!!
I've used this for years. It's the ONLY perfume that doesn't turn sour on me. I always get compliments on it. It took me a long to find it years ago. I have a hard time finding it know. I assume it is no longer made. If that is the issue I would like for it to be produced again. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I love this fragrance. I have loved it since it was called champagne. I am always asked what it is. My husband loves it too. It is very special to me. If I could afford it I would have body lotion and deodorant (if they make it) maybe when I win the lottery.!!!

Magnificent fragrance
This exquisite fragrance is one of my favourite Chypres of all time. The woody/mossy notes and the floral and citrus elements have been blended with a light hand so that no one component sticks out. I've worn it night and day and it doesn't fill a room like Samsara, Poison or other obnoxious overwhelming scents. There's a lightness, a touch of sweetness and those earthy base notes that make this truly beautiful. I wish though that YSL had not changed the bottle to the clunky cube which does not reflect the grace of this fine perfume.

Despite learning that the original Ypres from YSL was no longer made, I took the chance and purchased what is now the alternative product, if one wishes to have a perfume with the same lovely smell. I have to say I prefer the look of the original, and am sad that YSL is ":a thing of the past" as it were...but have been very pleased with what arrived, and have had compliments (as before) about this perfume. Will purchase again in the future.

The current version of Yvresse is nothing like the original. Loreal have played around with the formula and created a totally different perfume, how they can call it Yvresse is beyond me.

Gorgeous scent
Not everyone can wear the same perfume. Yvresse suits me perfectly and draws many compliments. However, a friend asked to try it and when she sprayed it on, it gave her a headache and was too strong. So it depends on each person's physical makeup ie acidity/alkalinity as to whether ANY perfume suits them.
